Biography
Amjad Masad is the founder and chief executive of Replit, one of the most widely used browser-based software development platforms in the world. Born in Amman, Jordan, to a family of Palestinian refugee heritage, he taught himself to program on an IBM PC his father brought home in the early 1990s, often borrowing computers from friends and frequenting internet cafés. He studied computer science at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology before emigrating to the United States in 2011.
